Our temporary reprieve from storms and extreme heat was short lived, as waves of tropical showers move in Friday night through Saturday.

Lee Goldberg says the heaviest showers will begin Friday night and last deep into the Saturday and could pose a risk for flooding.

And if you thought those showers would wash away our heat and humidity, think again. The heat returns in full force on Sunday and lasts well into the week, in what could become our third heat wave of the season.

But if you can make it through next week, Lee says extended relief is on the horizon.
