🔥 The chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Rostin Behman said a recent federal court ruling reaffirmed Bitcoin and Ethereum’s status as commodities. Important to note he said this referring to a fraud case pursued by the CFTC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against an unregistered entity. 🔴 Goldman Sachs will launch three new tokenization products in the US and Europe later this year, focusing on marketplaces for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs). Targeting financial institutions with permissioned blockchains, the bank aims to enhance speed and asset collateral variety. The renewed crypto momentum is attributed to the rise of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) for digital assets, with several Bitcoin ETFs listed and spot Ether ETFs expected soon.
