🏦 Taiwan Central Bank Governor Yang Chin-long announced that the Central Bank of Taiwan will conduct three scenario tests for the digital New Taiwan Dollar but has no current timeline for its issuance. The bank is focused on improving the payment system’s efficiency and innovation. Yang stressed that promoting CBDC is a long-term project aimed at supporting the country’s digital economy and finance. 🐺 UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev recently ventured into the crypto world by launching his own meme coin called SMASH. However, the token’s value rapidly plummeted, leading to accusations of a pump-and-dump scheme. Crypto veterans highlighted that insider wallets associated with Chimaev’s development team were responsible for dumping a significant portion of the token’s supply, suggesting it was an orchestrated scam. In response to the backlash, Chimaev has deleted all tweets related to crypto and the SMASH token.
