Description
Get a glimpse of some jobs and roles (i.e. daughter, aunt) that Heidi had as a teenager and in her early twenties. What made them harder or easier to handle because of her having PMDD? What was good about them? What was difficult about them? Heidi adds some recommendations along the way.
Take Aways
-Heidi found being a college student easier than being a high school student.
-Before serving as a full-time missionary, figure out ways to handle your difficult days of the month. Practice them. Heidi didn't know she had PMDD at the time she served... she believes knowing would have helped.
-Recognizing when your PMDD symptoms are active may help reduce stress, frustration, and disagreements.
-Doing work that includes both mind and body helped Heidi reduce the amount of negative thinking about herself.
-Having some social interaction when desired (but not expected) was a happy medium for Heidi.
