EP 51 "I Loved You At Your Darkest": the Haitian Missionary Murders

Episode 51 Published 1 year, 9 months ago
Description

On the evening of May 23rd, 2024, three full-time missionaries: 23 year old Davy Lloyd and 21-year old Natalie Lloyd, and 45 year old Jude Montis were murdered after a weeknight church service in Haiti’s capital of Port-Au-Prince. Their deaths left behind an unimaginable wound of grief and loss for their community, and have forced us to take a good hard look at how and why this tragedy happened. We get into the difficult topics of ethical and not-so-ethical humanitarian and missionary work, and the risks & vulnerabilties we face when we choose to love people. This story definitely isn't an upper.....but it's very important.

We offer our deepest condolences to the families of Davy and Natalie Lloyd and Jude Montis.
