Several Oregon counties want to secede from Oregon and join Idaho. One historian called this "Secession 2.0." Is this true? No, and not just because this would create all sorts of Constitutional issues, all of which would probably be impossible to overcome. More importantly, if these people really wanted out, they should just do it as the founding generation: just form their own government and go their own way. But States looking to break off from other States isn't new, either. We should really be looking at adding bunches of new States anyway, as I discuss in this episode of The Brion McClanahan Show.
