Progressives are masters at using language to mislead, deflect and obfuscate. It is truly something to admire if it wasn't so damaging to the body politic. For those of us who love liberty, we're particularly offended and often point out that it's really propaganda designed to garner support for government programs that NEVER work. When massively scaled government cannot work, but those inside the halls of power constantly scheme by using rhetorical tricks to manipulate their fellow citizens. Here in the 2nd decade of the 21st century, it has become an artform politicians spend a career trying to perfect. Words mean something. It's the way in which we share ideas and communicate our intentions. Not politicians, and especially not progressive politicians. Their goal is to misrepresent their position, deflect criticism and obfuscate the facts until the legislation or the policy has passed the congress.
