Published 2 years, 1 month ago
Description
Isaiah 41:17
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
THERE WILL BE TIMES IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOUR BROOK OF SUSTENANCE RUNS DRY‼️ DO NOT WEEP OR GO INTO DEPRESSION
TRUST IN GOD HE WILL OPEN UNEXPECTED DOORS FOR YOU.
Psalm 23:1-6
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
IN LIFE WE MEET NOT ONLY GREEN PASTURES BUT ALSO THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH. IT IS NOT WHERE YOU ARE THAT COUNTS BUT WHO IS WITH YOU WHEN THE BROOK DRIES.
1 Kings 17:3-7
Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 4And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. 5So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. 6And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook. 7And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
1 Kings 17:8-9
And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, 9Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
WE NORMALLY EXPECT DELIVERANCE TO COME FROM RICH QUARTERS BUT GOD CAN USE INSIGNIFICANT PEOPLE TO SUSTAIN US THAT ALL THE GLORY MAY BE RETURNED TO HIM‼️
Isaiah 42:8
I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
READ 1 Kings 17:10-16
13And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son. 14For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. 15And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days. 16And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.
THE TRAILS OF A DRIED BROOK SHOULD LEAD US TO SEEK AND GLORIFY GOD.
Isaiah 48:10-12
Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. 11For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another. 12¶Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
