In this episode, he discusses three events coming up this weekend in Jackson County: the Grand Opening of the Walter Smittle III Regional Responder Training Center in Ripley on Friday; the Cops and Bobbers Youth Fishing Event at Cedar Lakes on Saturday morning; and the Dash for Diabetes 5K in Ravenswood, and the street closures that go with it, this Saturday.
Dave then discusses an op-ed in Tuesday's Charleston Gazette-Mail by Mercer County Commissioner Greg Puckett on the need for more involvement from public education in the fight against fentanyl and overdoses.
And Dave announces area selections to the West Virginia Sportswriter's Association's Class A All-State Softball Team, including three Ravenswood Devilettes and three Wahama White Falcons.
