On Monday, news broke that former Pirates infielder, Tucupita Marcano, was under investigation for gambling on MLB games during his tenure with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Today, MLB announced that Marcano gambled $150k on baseball over 13 months, including bets that involved the Pirates. He becomes the first player in MLB since Pete Rose to be issued a lifetime ban from the sport for gambling.
