Morning Mantra: “The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.”
Here’s a challenge for today (well for everyday until it becomes unnecessary). Every time a negative thought comes into your mind, challenge yourself to think of two positive things about yourself, or your situation.
It’s time to flip the script in your head. Changing your thoughts can change your life. There is always something positive happening.
So, if you hate your jiggly thighs and that’s all you can think about when you’re invited to a pool party, flip the script! Instead, think of how they support your body and help you walk, and that science has proven that people with big thighs have a lower risk of heart disease. It’s true!
If you are obsessing over your bank account, flip the script! Think about how lucky you are to be able to change that. You have skills that can transfer into income, for instance, you can hear and read! Or you wouldn’t be listening to this or reading it.
Stuck in a unfulfilling relationship and you can only think about how lonely you are? Flip the script! You can start a plan to end it. You can rely on your friends for companionship until you move on.
Challenge yourself to change the voices in your head to see the brighter side of life. It’s not easy. It’s easier to stay stuck in the negative mindset, but it IS possible.
