The Path of Healing
Description
Morning Mantra: “If you never heal from what hurt you, you’ll bleed on people that didn’t cut you.”
So many of us have turned healing into becoming this super perfect version of ourselves and that is just anxiety waiting to happen. Healing is not becoming the best version of yourself. Healing is letting the worst version of yourself be loved. The version that has a hard time forgiving. The version that lets their emotions run the show. The version that is stuck in the trauma.
Healing is saying that every single version of me deserves love, deserves tenderness, deserves grace. Even the versions of ourselves that we have difficulty accepting. When you see those versions and recognize them as a part of you that is deserving, that’s when you know you are walking on a path of healing.
Your ability to suppress those versions of yourself to be "healed" and be a better version of yourself does not indicate you are healing. It just means they will stay trapped and will need the release. A release that often comes as more undesirable feelings and behaviors. Which keeps you on the journey to wellness longer.
There is a saying, "What you resist, persists", so stop resisting. It's okay to not be perfect. It's okay to embrace your darkness and release it's power.
