Episode Details

Jonah 2:5–6 says: “The waters surrounded me, even to my soul; The deep closed around me; Weeds were wrapped around my head. I went down to the [a]moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O Lord, my God.”

Everything in Hell will try to come against you. The thought that our whole purpose in life is to live for ourselves will come back and try to wrap itself again around our minds. It will try to get us away from the call of God—especially today. 

Nobody naturally wants to live for the sake of others. Only the Holy Spirit of God can give us the tendency to escape this selfish thinking that wants to grip every heart. As we look out today and see how dark the days are, it's time to call out to God. 

It's time to pray.
