The overall prevalence of hypertension in childhood is 2% to 5%, and it can be worse (or, worse yet, go undetected) in high-deprivation neighborhoods in the United States. She also shares her insights on outcomes for undetected pediatric high blood pressure, and mitigation strategies to better detect and treat it.
