As he faces the challenge to overcome his alcohol problem and be a good father, he realizes a greater reward than he had imagined. I am not a doctor, but I did a little research, and I’m willing to go out on a limb here that mom died from steadying an ark… Uncle Ben is yet another church movie with a mysterious death. This film reminds me of Cypher in the Snow and the Mailbox where people just die suddenly as a convenient plot device. No explicit COJCOLDS elements in this film, probably in an effort to make this more appealing to a broad non-LDS audience.
