Blind Monsters
Description
I made a new version of one of my songs using A.I.
I used lyrics to one of my latest songs that I released on my last album, and combined It with lyrics for a song that I was experimenting with but never released. I think this might be a good way to put some legs under the lyrics that I never did anything with in the past.
I was rained in all day and, for the first time I got bored because I wasn't really able to do things in the house that I would normally do. The kids were just wild and hyper, and I was looking to shake it up for the day. My wife and I had watched a few TV shows on crunchyroll, and we were getting ready for dinner. I don't remember exactly what prompted it in my head, but I decided to look for this AI generated video from a few days ago that I saw.
During my search I decided to find out how the song was made and I found this program called Suno. Suno is perfect for the laziest of the lazy people. All you have to do is type what you want your song to be about and give a couple ideas about the vibe and it will generate two examples for you. From those examples you can pull on the thread and expand it, and even shift directions in tone and style if you want.
Once I played around with a few ideas, I ended up generating songs about each of my kids. Then I got into the customizable options to see if I could break down how to predict the outcome of each sign. I haven't quite figured it out yet but I think I made some decent progress. I learned pretty quickly that you can enter your own lyrics, and give some prompts on how those lyrics should be delivered. Which is really helpful. So I ended up buying $10 worth of credits and playing around for a few hours until I came up with some ideas I thought were good. After dozens of iterations in hours of experimentation, this is the one that came out on top. I call it “Blind Monsters”, and it has a cool vibe. Hope you enjoy it.
