Q1. We have learned that Samuel was a Levite. However, 1 Samuel 1:1 says that Elkanah, Samuel's father, was an Ephrathite. Does this mean that Samuel was not from the Levitical tribe, but from Ephraim instead? Is there a contradiction in the Bible?
