A big thank you to Benoit Ramsay (Managing Director, Marketable Assets) from University of Cambridge Investment Management for joining us to talk about alternative investments: what they are, how they've changed over time, and a detailed introduction to hedge funds & the typical asset classes they invest in.

This is a  great introduction to the basics of alternative investments and is super useful for students starting out in their investment careers and wanting to understand different investment types & strategies.

About Benoit:
Benoit is Managing Director, Marketable Assets at UCIM. He previously worked as a Senior Investment Principal at Weybourne Limited, a London-based single family office, where he oversaw the firm’s investments in liquid markets and hedge fund strategies. Prior to that, Benoit held positions at an outsourced investment office and a specialist capital markets advisory firm. He holds a first-class degree from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences (with an additional year of Management Studies) and is a CFA Charterholder.
