There Is No Unhappy Revolution - Tarì and Destituent Power (Part 1)

Published 4 years, 11 months ago
Description

This week we discuss the first few chapters of Marcello Tari's new book There Is No Unhappy Revolution. With figures such as Marx, Deleuze, and Negri hovering in the background, Craig, Adam, Matt, and Will discuss the questions and ideas posed in these early sections.  We discuss how an insurrection can be turned into a revolution, and whether democracy has anything to add to the idea of Communism. This is part of a slightly larger project, as we will be returning to discuss later chapters in a number of further episodes in the future. Other figures mentioned include Ranciere, Nancy, Foucault, Tiqqun, and Hegel.
