The first witness taken the stand in the historic criminal trial of a former president of the United States. In opening statements, prosecutors accuse trump of taking part of a criminal conspiracy to interfere with the 2016 election. But defense attorneys claim trump did nothing wrong and argued that some of the prosecution witnesses are liars and biased against the former president.
