Description

The Commonwealth Beat with Laura LeBeau is a statewide Public Affairs program airing on all Seven Mountains Media Pennsylvania radio stations.

On this episode, Laura brings two more Democratic State Attorney General candidates forward to discuss their qualifications and the issues related to that office.   In the first interview, former Philadelphia Chief Public Defender Keir Bradford-Grey discusses her views on the numerous "quality of life" issues the state's top prosecutor should be tackling.  She would be the first Black attorney general and the first attorney general with primarily public defender experience in Pennsylvania history.  Then, Northeast  Philly state representative Jared Solomon discusses why he wants to leave the General Assembly for the Attorney General's office.

Also on this episode, comments from the two Democrats on the Primary ballot vying to become the candidate to face incumbent State Treasurer Stacy Garrity.   State Rep. Ryan Bizarro of Erie County touts his connections in Harrisburg as being valuable to advancing the PA Treasurers office, while Allegheny County  Addiction Recovery and Human Services professional Erin McClelland says the office needs someone who is not "political" to oversee the Commonwealth's coffers.
