Supernatural Season 6, Episode 6, You Can't Handle the Truth recap 🐈 People in Calumet City, Illinois, are suddenly hearing nothing but the brutal truth, and it's driving them to their deaths. Then Dean gets cursed too, and the boys come face to face with Veritas, the Roman goddess of truth (and a whole lot of cats), on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast. (The title is a nod to Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men.)

Lisa calls Dean out on their toxic dynamic, Dean's still bothered by how weird Sam has been, and the boys catch a case where folks keep dying right after hearing some very honest truths. Dean gets a dose of the curse himself and spends the rest of the episode hearing exactly what everyone REALLY thinks. Meanwhile, the boys track the curse to a gorgeous goddess with a serious cat situation, and she has a game for them: truth or truth.

In the lore segment, we dig into Veritas, the Roman goddess of truth and virtue (yes, she's the Veritas in Harvard's motto): sometimes called a daughter of Saturn, often depicted veiled and holding a mirror, and dressed in white because truth can't be corrupted (We still can't figure out where the cats came from).

Dean: "A dentist drilled a guy to death."
Sam: "You mean the non-sexy kind of drilling, right?"
