Supernatural Season 6, Episode 5, Live Free or Twi-hard recap 🧛 Sparkly, brooding vampires are luring Twilight-obsessed teen girls with poetry, and while hunting the nest, Dean gets a VERY up-close taste of vampire life, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast. (The title mashes up Live Free or Die Hard and Twilight, and we love it.)

A teenage girl with a cardboard cutout of Robert Pattinson heads out to meet her online vampire boyfriend and never comes back. The boys investigate, find a vampire poetry jam (snaps, snaps), and track the recruiters to a nest run by a creepy, bougie vampire named Boris. Then everything goes sideways for Dean: heightened senses, a craving he can't shake, and a terrifying visit to Lisa and Ben. Luckily, Grandpa Samuel has a cure, straight out of the Campbell family recipe book. But why is Sam acting so shady?

In the lore segment, we dig into the real-life case of a man in Turkey diagnosed with clinical vampirism, who drank blood with razor blades and a cup, and how doctors finally broke the cycle. (We later revisited this case in Alex Annie Alexis Ann.)
