The pandemic has had a dramatic impact on consumer financial behaviour around the world. Unfortunately, it has also inspired a major shift in how criminals approach fraud. Mitek Systems is one of the sponsors of the 2021 Identity Fraud Study by Javelin Strategy & Research. The report suggests total combined fraud losses climbed to $56 billion, of which, identity fraud accounted for $43 billion.
