FTN small square

Your god-emperor ran over my Forge World Dogma.  We take a look at the Adeptus Mechanicus codex today.  This book brings new rules and options to the 8th Index army.  28 Strategems, tons of relics, lots of special rules.

Yo guys,

The machines walk!  This book covers both the Adeptus Mechanicus and the Imperial Knights (Questor Mechanicus).  The major focus is on the Admec with only a tiny bit of cross-over rules that effect the Knights.  That’s not a bad thing, I am happy to have them both in the same book.

There are some clear winners in the Forge World Dogma department.  Mars has the ability to manipulate the Canticles roll, giving relevant buffs to your army every turn.  Stygies VIII makes your army harder to hit from 12 inches away. Graia gives your army something kinda like feel no pain but it even works in the MORALE phase.  In my opinion these are the best but these are just one element to the army. Don’t forget about the strategems and relics!

B. Cawl and many of the units in this book are similar, or the exact same, in this codex.  This is a good thing for those of you who have been playing this army for a while.  The Kastellan Robots are strong, the Onager Dunecrawlers are going to be a go-to for long range fire support.   The additional rules in the book make a case for other units that haven’t quite hit the table yet in 8th like the Kataphrons and Electro-priests.

The Table of Ultimate Gaming has a KickStarter going on right now. There are just a few days left and if you are on the fence about this, just know they will be more expensive after the Kickstarter ends!  Take a look!
