Yep.  We keep track of these things around here.  Our eyes are on the prize. The Scoreboard doesn’t lie.  You get the drift.  When all else fails and you feel outmatched at the table its time to control what you  can control.

We lead off with a message about keeping people focused on the scoreboard. We lose the thread a little bit when we start talking about terrain but that just goes to illustrate how important terrain is.  If you haven’t invented or invested in it then you really owe it to yourself.  We’re at a point in the game and the lethalness of each army where it is vital that you give yourself and your opponents the best  chance at having a good time.

We find the thread again in part two where we talk about how to hang onto those points and recognize when you might be falling behind too fast to keep the game tight.

It may seem risky but sometimes you do have to sacrifice units – giving them a one way ticket to deadsville – just to stay ahead or close on the scoreboard.  If you can force a few rounds where your opponent only gets 4 points for Primary you are giving yourself a huge advantage even if they have a strong secondary game – like Necron players.

Each release has us going back to the drawing board but that is pretty much how the game works.  Each time we rock up to the table we don’t exactly know what our opponents have in store for us.  We have an educated guess about what we can expect in certain ratios – like 50% assault and 50% shooty or whatever but what each and every opponents
