Baptizing

6. The Characteristics

a. Operates during this dispensation. (Acts 1:5, 11:15-16)

b. Experienced by all believers. (1 Cor 12:13, Eph. 4:5)

c. Occurs at salvation and is not repeated.

7. The Consequences

a. Joins us to the Body of Christ (1 Cor 12:13, Eph 4:16)

The Body of Christ

* Can never assemble.

* Invisible and hidden.

* Never receives exhortation.

The Local Assembly(church)

* Must assemble (Matt 18:17, Acts 11:26, Heb 10:25)

* Visible and public. (1 Cor 14:23, Acts 20:8)

* Receives many exhortation. (Heb 10;25, Eph 4:13-16, Gal 6:1-2)

b. Actualizes our Co-crucifixion with Christ (Rom 6:1-10; Col 2:12)
