Armed with little more than a photograph and fading hope, he begins asking questions, only to encounter April, a fiercely independent diner waitress who wants no part in his search. While April keeps her distance, her mother Veronica immediately sees something special in Dan and quickly starts imagining a future for the pair. As Dan navigates the town's colorful residents, unexpected friendships begin to form, and April reluctantly agrees to help uncover what happened to Terri. When Dan's culinary talents earn him a job at the local diner, he realizes he may have found more than clues in this strange little town—he may have found a reason to stay.
