The Knicks face the San Antonio Spurs in San Antonio in what was expected to be a cruise for the Knicks. With early shooting woes and lackadaisical play, the Knicks found themselves climbing out of a deep hole. The Spurs and forced the Knicks to grind in order to even make this game competitive. Knicks had trailed until the 4th Quarter. Jalen Brunson aka Captain Clutch put the team on his back in order to bring the Knicks back into this game. He scored 24 points in just the 3rd Quarter alone. In total Jalen Brunson scored 61 pts and tallied 6 asts and was 1 pt shy from tying Melo's all time Knick record for most points in a game. But the Spurs and Wemby had other plans. Wemby's historic stat line of 40pts/ 20rebs/ 7asts propelled the Spurs to a late game victory.
