Season 2 Episode 40
The next step to beating anxiousness is to actively practice gratitude. We get more of whatever it is that we focus on.
Yes, we have specific problems and challenges- for some of which we have yet to find a solution. This is true. What is also true is that we have even far more to be grateful for.
We can be thankful for our friends and family, the people in our lives who care about us and for whom we care. For food, clothing, shelter… for our transportation… for our education and employment, our work and our sources of income… our access to healthcare. For a comfortable place to lay our heads. For the beauty of nature, our sunrises and our sunsets.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
