Beating Anxiousness with Clarity, Gratitude, and Trust (Part 4/final)

Season 2 Episode 41

The final step in beating anxiousness is to live in trust. Martin Luther King, jr. describes faith as “taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase.”

It’s ok and even necessary for us to acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers. We may not even have all the questions. But if we can see our way to the first step, we must the have the determination to take it.

The ancient songwriter says that even if the righteous person falls seven times, the righteous person keeps getting up. Defeat is never final. We trust that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in us and will give us victory over our graves.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
