Ep. 209: Justifying and Defending Your Body

Ep. 209: Justifying and Defending Your Body

Published 4 years, 11 months ago
Description

As women, we often feel a lot of judgement around our bodies, and it doesn’t help when strangers and loved ones make comments. We’re too fat, too skinny, too muscular, too weak, haven’t lost the baby weight fast enough, eat too much or too little… the list goes on. The feeling that we need to justify the way we look or defend our bodies is bullshit. Your body is only a fraction of who you are, and nobody deserves an explanation. Let’s own our shit.

People making comments about your body [2:16]

Pre-emptive justification out of insecurity [5:48]

Practice ownership and detachment [12:44]

When other people apologize for their looks [15:29]

Insecurity is boring! [16:51]

You are so much more than your body [17:54]

You never have to apologize [21:01]
