On Tuesday of the Passion Week, before Jesus would be crucified on Friday, Jesus' day was full of many experiences, which you can read about in Matthew 21:18 through Matthew 26:13. Early Tuesday morning on His way to the temple, He taught His disciples about the need for faith; and in the temple, He was challenged in continual debate by the chief priests, the Pharisees, and the Sadducees.
Before exposing their hypocrisy and departing for the Mount of Olives, Jesus made clear to the religious leaders that the whole Law and the prophets hang on the two foremost commandments, to love God and love your neighbor.
