It's Okay to Ask for Help: Postpartum and Self Care

Season 4 Episode 15 Published 2 years, 5 months ago
Description

Bonnie Kerker, MPH, PhD, with the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, researches adverse and positive experiences that families face and the impact those experiences have on young children as well as how to mitigate the adverse experiences. She joins us this week to talk about postpartum depression, asking for help, self care, and more. Dr. Kerker worked on an intervention that adapted the postpartum depression prevention intervention, Reach Out and Stay Strong, Essentials for new Mothers (ROSE) in shelter. The adapted intervention was called Strong in Shelter (SIS).
