Season 1 Episode 135
Joining Nathan this week is Alex, founder of Mojave Repeater and USMC veteran and Austin, a former student and now instructor for Mojave’s in-person classes. The lads get into starting out learning comms with something as simple as a Baoefeng, some more robust options to invest in, what taking a Mojave Repeater class looks like, and the practical application of radio skills for training groups, Search and Rescue, family safety and more! The guys also talk mesh networks and their uses beyond voice communications, the misconception that the danger of radio emission detection outweighs the added capability of communicating over great distances in the field and much much more!
