In a surprise move, Tasmania’s premier, Jeremy Rockliff, called a state election – to be held this weekend, on 23rd March. The election is a roll of the dice for Rockliff, who is currently leading the only Liberal state government in the country, albeit from the minority. In this Squiz Shortcut, we tell the story of what led to the election announcement, and what it all has to do with a controversial AFL stadium.
