Hayom Yom 9 Adar 2 - A Chassid’s thirst to bind with his Rebbe

בְּבִרְכַּת בּוֹרֵא נְפָשׁוֹת

In the blessing borei nefashos,

אוֹמְרִים עַל כֹּל מַה שֶׁבָּרָאתָ

in the phrase al kol mah shebarasa,

הַכָּ"ף בְּחוֹלָם וְלֹא בְקָמַץ

the letter kaf should be vocalized with a cholam, not a kamatz.

גּוֹדֶל הַתְּשׁוּקָה לְהִתְקַשְׁרוּת

[A chassid’s] great thirst to be bound with his Rebbe

יָכוֹל לְהַשְׂבִּיעַ רַק כַּאֲשֶׁר יִלְמוֹד מַאֲמָרֵי הַחֲסִידוּת שֶׁאוֹמֵר הָרַב וְכוֹתֵב

can be satisfied only by studying the maamarim that the Rebbe delivers and writes,

כִּי בִּרְאִיַּת פָּנִים בִּלְבָד לָא סָגֵי

for merely seeing his face is not enough.
