The Phone Call (1977) - LDS Classic Film Running time: 23 minutes Rating: unrated Genre: Comedy We will watch this short in totality together while we give you some insightful and occasionally irreverent commentary. Synopsis Scott starts work at a drive-in burger and ice cream restaurant when his paper route proves inadequate to raise the money he needs for a mail order karate course. Scott believes that learning karate will help him gain the self-confidence he needs to get up the courage to call and ask his dream girl, Pam out to see a movie. While working at the burger shop, Scott meets Becky, who offers to train our hero on the art of talking to girls. During this process Scott is horrified to discover that Becky is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend Joe.
