The Penn State Nittany Lions football team took to the field on Tuesday for the first practice of the spring season. Also, head coach James Franklin spoke with the media earlier in the day to review the work his team did during the winter period and preview the upcoming spring training camp.

Blue White Illustrated was on hand for all of it yesterday and sits down to talk about it on today's show. Join the BWI Live show at 10 a.m. and veteran reporters Sean Fitz and Nate Bauer discuss their thoughts on what Franklin said, and what they saw at practice.

Penn State practice observations

On Tuesday evening, Penn State opened the first of 15 practices over the next six weeks. It was a beautiful late winter day, and the team could get work outside, which is rare for this time of year. Aside from the weather, we're discussing what our experts saw from the offensive and defensive practice fields on today's show. Who stood out to Bauer and Fitz? You can check out the offensive and defensive practice notes from last night, which they discuss on the show.

We work backward in the day after highlighting practice notes to Franklin's press conference. Franklin discussed several positions at length and was forthcoming with positional breakdowns and select injury news. What do Bauer and Fitz make of those comments? We'll discuss that on today's show. We've already covered some of the highlights from yesterday in our press conference reaction video, which you can find here.
