Episode Details

The Ordinary Elite is a Scottish podcast series brought to you from Glasgow by John McGovern and Mike Dailly. Both are Solicitor Advocates - John a criminal defence practitioner and Mike a civil litigation practitioner and social justice campaigner. In our 5th episode in Season 2, we discuss criminal justice in Scotland - including the Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act 2021 (in force from 1 April) and the Victims, Witnesses and Justice Reform (Scotland) Bill. We also reflect on a certain MSP's gripe that the heavily subsidised food in the Parliament's restaurant and cafe isn't good enough.
