Haiti's Prime Minister Ariel Henry resigned, a politician who had the rejection of the Haitian people in his country, but the support of the US and the West. Haiti is in a profound social, political and economic crisis since many years deepened after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse in 2021. Henry's resignation was announced after a carry-on meeting in Jamaica and now the regional group seeks a path for a transition of power in Haiti. 

And in Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro extended an invitation to the international organizations to participate as monitors of the presidential elections on July 28, respecting the Venezuelan sovereignty and constitution. The invitations include the European Union and the Carter Center in the US.
