Dare to Believe that We Are Beloved

Season 2 Episode 27

Send us a text

We all long for someone to tell us who we are. The great struggle of the Christian life is to take God's name for us, to believe we are beloved and to believe that is enough.

Rachel Held Evans

The name satan means accuser or advisory in Hebrew. In other words the negative voices around us and in our minds are not from God whose very essence is love.

Any voices that tell us that we are not worthy, that we are not deserving, that we are not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough or anything else that’s negative-are not from God. These are voices that we need to silence. Tell them to get behind us as Jesus did.

We acknowledge our mistakes, but they do not define us. Let us be informed by our past, not stuck there.

Dare to believe that we are God’s beloved children. Dare to believe that we are God’s hand crafted masterpieces. Dare to believe there is nothing we can do to lose our inherent self worth.

Dare to believe that we are beloved and that is enough. I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope.

Peace be with you.
