Deb joined us to explain the mission of her organization, which is to provide equal communication access, education, and advocacy to the Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing in pursuit of all life’s opportunities.

In this segment, we spoke with Joel Ruiter from Home Repair Services about his organization's primary mission, which is to strengthen vulnerable Kent County homeowners by providing a wide variety of services, support, and education. Joel also noted that Home Repair Services believes that home ownership encourages personal responsibility and builds value, dignity, and pride.
