In this week's program, host Phil Tower welcomes Randy Thelen, President and CEO of The Right Place Inc. Randy recently presented his annual report in early December at the 2024 Economic Outlook event sponsored by The Right Place. A big part of the presentation was Randy's overview of the organization's important 10-year tech strategy, which has been a focus of Thelen's since taking over as president and CEO of The Right Place roughly two years ago. Randy also spoke with us about several potential economic growth opportunities for West Michigan, including growth in the defense sector, the electric grid, electric vehicles, and data centers. The Right Place recently hit a milestone, playing a pivotal role in creating 50,000 jobs in the region since its founding.
