My friend, my mentor, Kane/Peter Deibler died on March 6th, 2021. Through the good, the bad, and some of the incredibly ugly, he was one of the greatest radio personalities there ever was. In this episode I show you a bit more of the man that he was before, during, and after everything in his life started to crumble. And please be aware that I know not all of it was pretty, or even anywhere close to excusable. But perhaps by telling more of the story if the man, versus the monster it will help someone to choose the right paths over the wrong ones.
So why you ask did I wait 3 years and 5 days to give a proper tribute to him? Some will call it opportunistic or strangely timed. And in truth that is truly fine with me. To that I say two things that Kane taught me when he was still the man that was my radio idol. The very first person in my life to give me a true chance. 1.) I can't worry about the keyboard warriors that have never walked a day in my or his shoes. And 2.) I am confident in the fact that my feelings are REAL and TRUE and this isn't about anything but honoring the memory of cherished times past, and making new hope for more good times in the future. Cheers to you Papa Kane. Praying you hear this from your oasis in the sky. Rest in Peace my dear friend.
