בשני דפ' פקודי מדובר אודות עשיית האפוד והחושן "ויעש את האפוד וגו'" "ויעש את החושן וגו'", ואודות הציווי של "ולא יזח החושן מעל האפוד". וההוראה: האפוד "חוגר אותו מאחוריו כנגד לבו.. ומגיע עד עקביו" ואילו החושן "תלוי.. על לבו מלפניו" (רש"י), ועל זה נאמר "ולא יזח החושן מעל האפוד" שגם ענינים הכי תחתונים והחיצוניים שבאדם ("אחוריו.. עד עקביו") צריך לחברם עם הענינים הכי נעלים ופנימיים שבו ("לבו מלפניו") ובאופן של "ולא יזח"!

Sheini of Parashas Pekudei discusses the making of the Ephod and the Choshen, and states, “the Choshen shall not move off the Ephod.” The lesson is: the Ephod “girded him from behind, opposite his heart…and reached his feet,” whereas the Choshen was “suspended...in front of him over his heart” (Rashi); and the verse states, “the Choshen shall not move off the Ephod” – that even the lowliest and most external aspects of a person (from behind…reaching his feet”) must be attached to his loftiest and innermost aspects (“in front of him…his heart”), and in such a way that they “do not move off.”
