Thursday, March 7: In this episode, we explore what it means to accept our death and resurrection with Christ, and how this changes our perspective and priorities in life. We look at the biblical passage of Colossians 3, where Paul tells us to seek the things above, not the things on the earth, for we have died, and our life is hidden with Christ in God. We discuss the implications of this radical statement, and how it frees us from self-concern, self-consternation, and self-interest. We also examine the paradox of being dead to self, but alive in Christ, and how this enables us to live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. Finally, we share some practical tips on how to let go of our old life and embrace our new life in the kingdom of God.
