Today’s efforts to reform Islam to fit with secular liberal values, are all-too apparent. We must thus, as Muslims, ensure our Islam isn’t steered by our desires, or by a desire to ‘fit in’ and ‘stay safe’, rather we must adhere to Islam in its totality and within the clear parameters set by Islam.
