THE GOOD NEWS
WOMEN GET MORE HEART-HEALTH BENEFITS WITH LESS EFFORT FROM WORKOUTS THAN MEN
Researchers have discovered a “gender gap” between men and women when it comes to working out—and it favors women, who are not likely to exercise as often.
WHAT’S EATING CALE
“Loudermilk” is a comedy-drama series that follows Sam Loudermilk (played by Ron Livingston), a former music critic and recovering alcoholic who works as a substance abuse counselor in Seattle. Despite having his drinking under control, Loudermilk struggles with his personal life, which remains quite messy. Known for his bad attitude, he often manages to offend everyone around him. However, he shows a somewhat softer side to the few people close to him, including his best friend and sober sponsor, Ben Burns, and his sponsee and unplanned roommate, Claire Wilkes. The show, which ran for three seasons between 2017 and 2020, has been praised for its sharp writing and strong central performance by Ron Livingston. It’s available for streaming on Netflix
