פירוש הפשוט בשם פ' ויקהל הוא הקהלת בני ישראל, שזהו ענין נעלה ביותר כשלעצמו, ובפרט הענין ד"ויקהל" שבתחילת פ' ויקהל שהביא לנדבת ועשיית המשכן ע"ש "ושכנתי בתוכם". וההוראה מזה עפ"י מ"ש במדרש עה"פ, שבזה ישנה הוראה לכל הזמנים שיהי' הענין ד"מקהיל קהילות", ובפרט ביום השבת (כבפ' ויקהל), ובמיוחד כשה"ויקהל" בא בהמשך לזמן שבו קראו בתורה ענין זה. ואם יהודי רק בוחר לנצל את ה"ויקהל" כראוי הרי הדבר מביא ל"נדבת המשכן", וכשמצרף עוד יהודים – נפעל הענין של "בניית המשכן" בפועל והשראת השכינה בו וכו'.

The simple meaning of the name Vayakhel is a “gathering” of the Jewish people, which in and of itself is a most lofty thing; especially the gathering at the beginning of Parashas Vayakhel, which led to the donations for and building of the Mishkan, which causes Hashem to “dwell among them.” The lesson, based on the Midrash, is that this is an instruction for all time, to “assemble gatherings,” especially on Shabbos, (as in Parashas Vayakhel), and especially when the gathering follows the reading of this portion in the Torah. And as long as a Jew chooses to utilize the “Vayakhel” properly, it will lead to “donating toward the Mishkan,” and when he joins with other Jews – we will have the “building of the Mishkan” practically, with the dwelling of Divine Presence within it etc.
